United Nations: More than 100,000 people displaced by fighting in Amhara and Afar, Ethiopia

Martin Griffiths, the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator, said on Tuesday that 100,000 people have been displaced by the fighting in the Amhara region, and 8,000 in the Afar region of Ethiopia, according to Bloomberg East.

Fighting in the past few weeks has spread to the two neighboring provinces of Tigray, where a war broke out eight months ago between the central government and the Tigray People's Liberation Front.
