Jordanian official: The tripartite summit is a step to promote joint Arab action

Today, Tuesday, the President of the Jordanian Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, considered that the fourth Jordanian-Iraqi-Egyptian tripartite summit, which was recently hosted in Baghdad, and in which King Abdullah II, President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi participated, is an advanced step in the framework of strengthening joint Arab action.

This came during official talks with the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and his accompanying delegation, which dealt with ways to strengthen Jordanian-Iraqi relations and build on them in various fields, in addition to the overall current situation in the region and strengthening joint parliamentary action.

Al-Fayez pointed out - according to what was reported by the Jordan News Agency - the importance of increasing cooperation, especially in the political, economic and investment fields, and activating bilateral agreements, stressing the need to maintain coordination and consultation between the two countries, especially in the war against the forces of terrorism and extremism.

He stressed that "the delicate circumstances that the Arab nation and the region are going through necessitate strengthening unity, in order to face the challenges and dangers that surround us. Arab unity and cohesion is the only way to solve the various difficulties facing us."

With regard to what is happening in the region, Al-Fayez renewed Jordan's calls to the international community to assume its moral and humanitarian responsibilities by working to end the Syrian crisis and solve the Palestinian issue, in order to enable the peoples of the region to live in security and stability.
