The committee in charge of managing the Zamalek club, headed by Hussein Labib, put the file of the renewal of the contract of Moroccan Ashraf Bin Sharqi, the player of the first football team, as its second priority after the file of renewing the contract of the Tunisian international Fergani Sassi, whose contract with the White Castle expires at the end of next June.
The Zamalek Committee wishes not to repeat the scenario of Ferjani Sassi, which is still not resolved in its final decision regarding the departure or renewal of Zamalek, especially since the current management granted the player part of his late financial dues, and promised him to pay the rest of those dues upon approval of the renewal with the awarding of the contract provider.
The current Zamalek Committee puts the file of negotiations with the Moroccan, Ashraf bin Sharqi, to renew his contract, as its second priority, and in the event that Sassi refuses to renew Zamalek and settle down to leave, the committee will immediately open negotiations with Bin Sharqi, using the funds that were allocated to renew the Sassi contract.
The committee was supposed to hold a session with Ferjani Sassi after the confrontation in El Gouna, which was held yesterday Sunday, at Khaled Bishara Stadium to resolve the renewal file, but the player traveled to Tunisia, taking advantage of his suspension after obtaining the third yellow card, to join the camp of his country’s national team on the 2nd of next month.
Mohamed Al-Atribi, Vice Chairman of the Zamalek Management Committee, said: "We want to renew for Sassi, as he is an important player for the team, but on the condition that staying is his desire, and that the renewal is legitimate requests that the committee can meet."
