Fikile Mablola, Minister of Sports and Culture of South Africa, was keen to support the Kaizer Chiefs team, the South African champions, before facing Al-Ahly of Egypt in the final of the African Champions League.
The final of the African Champions League between Kaizer Chiefs and Al-Ahly will be held at Mohammed V Stadium in Morocco, July 17, at nine in the evening.
The official page of Kaizer Chiefs club on Twitter posted the message that the Minister of Sports addressed to the players, saying, "Special thanks to the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture for the message of support as we prepare for the African Champions Final on Saturday.
Kaizer Chiefs reached the Champions League final for the first time in their history, after the South African team beat Morocco's Wydad in the semi-finals, 1-0, on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Al-Ahly swept Tunisia's Esperance by 4-0 after repeatedly winning back and forth with a goal and then a white hat-trick.
