On Friday, Jordan's King Abdullah II discussed, by phone, with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, regional and international efforts in the war on terrorism, according to a holistic approach, and continuing to confront extremist ideology and hate speech.

The two sides reviewed - according to what was reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) - bilateral relations and ways to develop cooperation in all fields.

The Jordanian monarch stressed the centrality of the Palestinian issue, and the importance of translating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip into an extended armistice that pushes for a political solution that achieves the Palestinians their legitimate rights, stressing the need to stop all Israeli aggressions and illegal measures in the Palestinian territories.
