The Secretary of the United Nations: The accident that ran over Canadian Muslims breaks my heart, and we must unite against hate

Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, expressed his dismay at the terrorist run-over incident in London, Ontario, Canada, which resulted in the killing of 4 members of a Muslim family and the serious injury of a child.

Guterres tweeted, "I am shocked by the heinous attack on a Muslim family in Ontario, Canada. My heart goes out to the victims, the family, the loved ones - and the community."

Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, called on the international community to stand up against all violent and hate crimes, adding: "We must stand united against Islamophobia and all forms of hate, now more than ever."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his solidarity with Muslims in his country after an accident that ran over a family of five in London last Sunday evening, which resulted in the killing of four and the injury of a child.

Trudeau said in a series of tweets on his official Twitter account: "I am horrified by the news coming from the City of London in the Province of Ontario... For the loved ones of those who were terrorized by the hate incident, we are here with you... We are also here with the child who is still in The hospital .. our hearts are with you, and you will be in our thoughts as you recover.”

And Trudeau continued, saying in a second tweet: To the Muslim community in London and Muslims across the country, know that we stand with you. Islamophobia has no place in any of our societies...this hatred is cunning and despicable, and it must stop."

Trudeau said he had spoken by phone with the mayor of London and officials about this abhorrent and heinous attack that took place in the city. I told them that we will continue to use every tool we have to fight Islamophobia, and we will be here with those who are grieving.

Last Sunday, a driver ran over the family of five while they were waiting at an intersection in London, where the driver deliberately climbed onto the sidewalk and hit them because of their Islamic faith, officials said.
