The Football Association is awaiting the arrival of a response from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding the submission of the date for the final match of the African Champions League between Al-Ahly and Kaiserchives tomorrow, Wednesday.
The Football Association is seeking to obtain a final decision from CAF regarding the date of the match, especially since based on the decision of CAF, Shawky Gharib, technical director of the Egyptian Olympic team, will decide the final list for the Tokyo Olympics and the fate of Al-Ahly players, whether by including them if the match date is submitted or excluding them if the match is held on time on July 17 next.
In the same context, Al-Ahly club officials are following up on the file of the African Champions League final crisis and the developments of this crisis, which have exacerbated the past days after news spread about the possibility of Moroccan Wydad participating instead of Kaizer Chiefs in the final of the continental championship against Al-Ahly.
