French star Paul Pogba, Manchester United player, was keen to console his teammates and fans after exiting the European Nations Cup for Switzerland in the round of sixteen in the round of sixteen of the European Nations Cup "Euro 2020" that is currently taking place and continues until It will be hosted by 11 different cities with the participation of 24 teams.

Yesterday the match brought us sadness and happiness for our opponents.. This is the beauty of football.. Of course we all hoped that we would get a positive result."

He added, "Thank you so much to all our fans around the world.. It was nice to see you, and to hear you celebrate with you.. You gave us hope and joy in all our matches. We will keep our heads held high and come back stronger.. Finally, I would like to congratulate Switzerland."

In a related context, France coach Didier Deschamps said that his striker, Kylian Mbappe, was "very sad", after he missed the penalty kick that led to the exclusion of the French national team against Switzerland from the final price of the European Championship (Euro 2020).

Deschamps added, in statements to French television after the match, which was decided by penalty shootout, in an attempt to alleviate the guilt feeling felt by the Paris Saint-Germain star: "When this responsibility is assumed, it can happen."

The players of the two teams starred in the penalty shootout, reaching the fifth kick for each team, which saw Edmir Mohammadi sack the Swiss kick, and France star Mbappe missed his kick, after a wonderful save from Jan Sommer, to make the surprise and the "roosters" bid farewell to the tournament in the round of 16.

Deschamps acknowledged the regret felt by the entire French delegation, saying: "Can you imagine the sadness that can be felt?", especially as the team reached the "end of its strength" to try to win before the penalty shootout.

"We are not used to" falling so quickly, the veteran coach said, noting that it will take us time to accept it.

He also expressed his particular sadness that France "did what was necessary to win 3-1" in the second half, and then could not keep the score.

Deschamps admitted that his team played poorly in the first half, which ended with Switzerland 0-1, explaining that "the opponent put us in difficulties, I have no problem admitting that, it is my responsibility."
