Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab said that Lebanon today needs an existing government to complete negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, continuing: We are unable to form a government that addresses economic problems and the political class has not risen to the level of challenges.
Hassan Diab added, during a speech today, that Lebanon is facing an external siege imposed on it, explaining that the repercussions of the collapse will have very serious consequences for Lebanon and its regional surroundings.
The head of the Lebanese caretaker government indicated that forming a government is a priority that no other title is ahead of, continuing: I call on the Lebanese to be patient with any decision that any party may take and increase their suffering.
Hassan Diab also called on the political forces to make concessions, which are small, no matter how large, because they relieve the suffering of the Lebanese. He also called on the brothers of Lebanon not to burden the Lebanese with consequences for which they do not bear any responsibility.
