Saudi Arabia temporarily closed 13 mosques in 5 regions after infection with the Coronavirus was confirmed among worshipers, bringing the total to what were closed during 101 days, 1223 mosques, 1201 of which were opened after the completion of sterilization and the completion of readiness in the context of ensuring the safety of the worshipers.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance - in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency today, Tuesday - stated that the closed mosques include four in Al-Qassim region, four in Asir region, three in Riyadh, a mosque in Al-Sharqiyah region and a mosque in Al-Baha region.
She pointed to the reopening of 13 mosques, including four mosques in Riyadh, three in Asir, three in Al-Baha, two in Al-Sharqiya, and a mosque in Tabuk, after completing the precautionary measures of sterilization and maintenance.
The Ministry called on worshipers and mosque employees to adhere to the instructions for precautionary measures when they go to mosques, including wearing a muzzle, bringing their own carpet, and achieving physical distance for their safety.
