Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that his country supports the idea of lifting the protection of patents on vaccines against Coronavirus.
Murashko added - in his speech to the World Health Assembly, according to the (Russia Today) news channel today, Tuesday, "In order to increase the availability of vaccines, Russia supports the idea of lifting the protection of patents on vaccines against Corona virus."
Earlier, India and South Africa had submitted a proposal to suspend the work of patents on coronavirus drugs in the World Trade Organization during the year 2020, and the proposal won the support of nearly 60 countries.
It is worth noting that the reason for the emergence of this proposal in the World Trade Organization lies in the fear that developed countries will significantly lead to other countries in terms of vaccination rates.
