Popular marches took place in various parts of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip today, Friday, to celebrate and welcome the decision to cease fire with the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip.
The marches began - according to the Palestinian News Agency - in all areas of the occupied territories and the streets of Gaza, amid the celebrations of Eid al-Fitr, which the Palestinian people were deprived of in the Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli aggression and the continuous bombing in various parts of the Strip.
The minarets of the mosques played Eid cheers, and there were chants in the streets and fireworks were set off.
Egypt announced yesterday evening that it had reached an agreement for a "mutual and simultaneous" ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as of Friday dawn.
