Today, Saturday, the former Revolutionary Guard official, Brigadier General Saeed Muhammad, launched his campaign for the Iranian presidential elections days before the door to candidacy is officially opened, listing his step within the framework of change and the promise of a strong government, and he welcomed the efforts to revive the nuclear agreement concluded between Iran and international powers in 2015 in case the party commits The other in it.

According to IRNA, Muhammad officially announced his candidacy at a two-hour press conference held in Tehran, and said: "I decided to run because I felt that the Supreme Leader called for a change and transformation in the administrative generation of the Islamic Republic, and he asked for that repeatedly."

He added, "We are not associated with any movement, party, or faction, and we have not sat with anyone nor promised anything," opposing any "polarization in society, this constant disagreement that is causing the erosion of the country from the inside: talking about the left and the right, reformists and conservatives, all of these are harmful matters." Country. "

In response to a question about his military background, and whether Iran is currently in need of a president from this path, Muhammad believed that it would be more beneficial to focus on the candidate’s career rather than his background.

"People have experiences in various fields," he said. "The issue is not related to where this candidate was, but what are his ideas, achievements, and any solutions he offers to problems."

He added, "Unfortunately, we have to say today that people are tired ... not because of the Iranian revolution, but rather mismanagement, empty words, inaction ... In short, people are tired of not having a government."

He believed that "the people want a man in the field .. Today they need reforms, but reforms based on principles .. We need a strong government."

On the nuclear agreement, the potential candidate said: "We must not link the welfare of the people to the nuclear agreement, but if the agreement succeeds in lifting the sanctions, we welcome it." And he added, "Despite the many problems that the nuclear agreement suffers from, the Security Council approved it and we respect it, and he stressed." We respect the nuclear agreement, and if we see the opposite party is committed to it, we also abide by its provisions. "

"The United States withdrew from the nuclear agreement and it created many problems for us, and of course not all problems are caused by sanctions, and most of them are due to mismanagement at home," he said.

Muhammad, who is 53 years old for more than two years, took over the leadership of the "Khatam al-Anbiya" headquarters, which is an economic arm of the Guards that deals with construction and reconstruction affairs .. Muhammad's name is included among the personalities with a military background who announced their intention to run or deliberate in their name for a possible candidacy in the elections scheduled for 18 June 2021.
