Days after the restrictions were eased in Belgium, Corona injuries rose again, and 3029 cases were discovered


The Belgian authorities said that it was only a few days after the opening of the terraces of the Horeca sector that a new increase in cases of Corona injuries appeared in Belgium.


According to the figures issued by the Institute of Public Health today, Wednesday, during the week between 2 and 8 May, 3029 new cases of the Coronavirus that cause Covid-19 disease were discovered on average daily, bringing the total number of Coronavirus infections in Belgium since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,020,332 cases. This number reflects all infected people, and includes confirmed active cases as well as patients who have recovered or died from infection with the virus.


During the same period, an average of 37.1 people died per day due to the virus, a decrease of 1.9%, bringing the total deaths to 24,609 deaths since the start of the epidemic in Belgium.

Yesterday, Brussels recorded 49 new cases of Coronavirus, with a total of 19,134 cases since the beginning of the epidemic.


Yesterday, Anderlecht recorded 24 new cases, a total of 13,286 cases since the beginning of the epidemic.


Yesterday, Forest registered 8 new cases, with a total of 5907 cases


Molenbeek had 8 cases yesterday, with a total of 11,666 cases.


- Scarbec, 26 cases were reported yesterday, with a total of 14334 cases.


- 11 cases were reported yesterday, with a total of 5613 cases.


- Delbeek 6 cases yesterday, with a total of 4181 cases.


- Etterbeek: 9 cases were reported yesterday, with a total of 4,575 cases.


- San Gil 5 yesterday, with a total of 5,224 cases.
