Al-Ahly asks to postpone 4 matches in June due to the international agenda

Al-Ahly club asked the Football Association to postpone 4 matches in the League and the Egypt Cup that will be held next June, specifically during the international suspension period, and Al-Ahly adhered to the regulations that give the club the right to postpone its matches during the suspension period in the countries if its professional players were called to their national teams.

Al-Ahly asked for their matches to be postponed in front of both: Al-Ahly Bank on June 1 “Al-League”, Enppi on June 4 “Egypt Cup”, Aswan on June 7 “League”, and the Arab Contractors on June 14 “Al-League”.

The past hours have witnessed a crisis in the Football Association due to the league matches held during the international suspension in next June, which starts from May 30 to June 14, on top of which are Al-Ahly matches.

The crisis is that Article 11 of the league competition regulations includes the right to administer competitions to hold matches during the international suspension if there is a need for that, provided that the two parties to the match do not have more than two players who have been called up to their national teams.

This condition applies to Al-Ahly and Zamalek teams in particular, as Al-Ahly is linked to confronting Al-Ahly Bank and Enppi in the Cup, Aswan and Al-Mokawloon in the league during the international suspension, while Zamalek is linked to the clearing confrontation if it succeeds in crossing Ismaili with the Egypt Cup.

According to the league schedule announced recently by the Football Association, Al-Ahly and Al-Ahly Bank will meet on the first of next June in the league, Al-Ahly with Enppi on June 4 in the Egypt Cup, Aswan Al-Ahly in the league on June 7, and Al-Ahly with the contractors on June 14 in the league.

And these matches are threatened with postponement after Al-Ahly club received letters of summoning its professional players to join their national teams during the international suspension period, namely Ali Maaloul, Badr Banoun, Bwalia and Ali Diang
