Russia about the explosion of the ammunition depot in the Czech Republic: Prague caused an international scandal out of the blue

The head of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, said that the Prague authorities created an international scandal about the explosion of the ammunition depot in Vrpetice from a vacuum.

In remarks transmitted by Russia today, the State Duma Speaker confirmed that the Czech authorities began to realize that they had done harm to themselves, and that they had fallen into an absurd situation.

On April 17th, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis announced that his country's authorities suspect Russian intelligence involvement in the 2014 Vrabetes explosion.

Moscow rejected these allegations, describing them as baseless and absurd, but 18 Russian diplomats were expelled from the Czechs on the background of these accusations. Moscow responded by declaring 20 employees of the Czech embassy in the Russian capital persona non grata.

Earlier in the day, Czech Republic President Milos Zeman warned against early judgments about the explosion in the town of Vrpetice in 2014, and called for the results of the investigation to be awaited.

The Czech president did not rule out that this issue was a result of the intrigues of the intelligence services that have nothing to do with Russia.
