Morocco summons the Spanish ambassador in Rabat because of his country hosting the "Polisario" leader


 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad summoned the Spanish ambassador for hosting the Polisario leader.


And the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that Rabat regrets the position of Spain, which hosts on its soil Ibrahim Ghali, leader of the separatist Polisario Front.


I also mentioned that Ibrahim Ghali, who arrived in Spain days ago due to receiving treatment in a hospital, is accused of committing serious war crimes and gross violations of human rights.


It indicated that the Spanish ambassador in Rabat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad to inform him of this position and to request the necessary explanations regarding his government's position.


The ministry also stressed that Morocco expresses its frustration with this position, which is inconsistent with the spirit of partnership and good neighborliness, and which concerns a fundamental issue for the Moroccan people and their living forces, explaining that this position on the Kingdom of Spain raises a great deal of surprise and legitimate questions.
