Mirror: Liverpool is preparing to start talks with Mohamed Salah about his participation in the Olympics

British press reports revealed that the English club Liverpool is preparing to hold talks with the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, to reach a decision regarding the striker’s participation with the Pharaohs’s team in the Olympic Games to be held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, next summer.

The British "Daily Mirror" newspaper stated that the Reds administration will start negotiations with Mohamed Salah about his participation in the Tokyo Olympics, after the Egyptian Federation officially requested Liverpool to allow the Egyptian star to participate in the tournament, among the three players registered over the age of 23 years.

The newspaper stated that the football competition in the Tokyo Olympics will be held between July 22 and August 7, which will lead to the absence of Mohamed Salah from Liverpool's preparations for the new season 2021-2022, which is contrary to the desire of the German Jurgen Klopp wants the Reds coach, in the presence of the majority Most of his team's strength is in the preparatory period before the start of next season in the Premier League on August 14th.

The newspaper pointed out that Liverpool will suffer from the absence of its international players at the beginning of the preparatory period for the new season, due to the establishment of the European Championships, "Euro 2020" and the Copa America in the summer, which will increase Klopp's suffering.

The Egyptian Football Association had sent an official letter to Liverpool Club requesting the presence of Mohamed Salah in the Olympic team list to participate in the Tokyo Olympics scheduled for next July 2021, and Jabaliya officials are waiting for the English club's response.
