Collecting debris from the "Star Ship" spacecraft

Reuters news agency published a set of photos of the wreckage of a missile carrying an unmanned "Starship" spacecraft that failed to land after a test launch from Boca Chica in Texas.

"It looks like we've lost all the data on the vehicle, we will have to figure out what happened from the team," said John Insbrucker, an engineer at SpaceX, which launched the missile, in a video broadcast of the missile test. The fog obstructed vision during the video broadcast, making it difficult to watch the landing craft.

The Starship is one of a series of prototypes of heavy-duty rockets being developed by the private space company owned by billionaire Elon Musk to transport humans and 100-ton cargo on missions to the moon and Mars in the future.

The SN8 and SN9 missiles had previously exploded while landing in previous tests.
