The country is still going through a state of high temperatures and the attendant high levels of humidity, which affects public health, you can get sick from high heat if your body is not able to cool itself and calm you properly, according to a report by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Key things The ones that affect your body's ability to cool itself during extremely hot weather are:

High humidity: When the humidity is high, sweat does not evaporate as quickly and this prevents your body from releasing heat as quickly as it needs to.

Personal factors: Age, obesity, fever, dehydration, heart disease, mental illness, poor circulation, and sunburn can all play a role in determining whether a person can cool enough in very hot weather.

People 65 or older are at risk for heat-related illnesses, children younger than two years old, and people with chronic or mental illnesses.
