The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, headed by Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, was held at the Ministry's headquarters in Zamalek, to discuss a number of issues related to the latest developments in the works in the museum and the surrounding area.
The Board of Directors was keen to invite representatives of the Hassan Allam alliance, which won the provision and operation of services in the museum, to attend the meeting in order to present and discuss its work plan in the coming period.
During the meeting, the representatives of the alliance gave a detailed presentation in which they reviewed the plan and strategy for operating services in the museum and all related files to ensure its readiness at the opening, pointing to the actual start of contracting procedures with major restaurants, specialists and local and international companies with expertise and high efficiency in the fields of services and hospitality and promoting better delivery. The members of the Board of Directors stressed the need to provide services in this important cultural and tourist edifice at a level comparable to and superior to major museums and international tourist destinations, in a way that supports the museum’s role as a unique cultural, cultural, and entertainment complex in activating tourism and economic development in Egypt, while respecting the archaeological environment of the museum and what it contains. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani thanked all the museum staff for the effort they made to finish this great edifice, and he also thanked the Supreme Council of Antiquities for their cooperation with their colleagues in the museum regarding the transfer of antiquities, the museum display, and the transfer of the Khufu boat.
