Al-Ahly presses to increase the number of fans in the return match against Esperance


Al-Ahly club officials are intensifying their contacts with the security leaders, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Football Association to persuade them to agree to the attendance of its fans in its match against Esperance on June 26, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League, especially since the first leg in Tunisia will be held in the presence of fans of up to 5,000 fan.

 

Al-Ahly club officials are pressing to obtain the necessary security approvals for the fans to attend the return match against Esperance and to increase the number of fans allowed to attend the match to 15,000 fans or more, in order to support the red team in overcoming the obstacle of the Tunisian champion and hijacking the ticket to the final match.

 

Al-Ahly club sent a letter to the engineer Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee in charge of managing the Football Association, requesting the support of the federation and all concerned parties for the fans to attend the return match against Esperance of Tunisia in the second leg of the African Champions League semi-final scheduled for June 26th.

In his speech, Al-Ahly stressed the continuous support received by the Egyptian teams participating in the African Championships from all national institutions.


Al-Ahly indicated in his speech that the club’s management affirms its desire to cooperate with all concerned parties in this matter. Especially since the Al-Ahly team is waiting for the great public support at this important stage of the Champions League journey, as it represents the Egyptian football.
