Inflation in Venezuela stands at 2,840% ... and the nursing sector is demanding anti-Corona equipment and vaccines

The Venezuelan Observatory of Finance (OVF) confirmed that the monthly inflation rate in Venezuela reached 33.4% in April, an increase of 24.3% from March, when it was 9.1%. The Spanish agency "Ifi" said.

On the other hand, the Spanish agency said that members of the nursing sector in Venezuela met to demand medical equipment and supplies to confront Corona, as the sector faces a significant shortage of anti-virus equipment.

The agency indicated that members of the Venezuelan nursing sector have focused in several states in the country on demanding the government have a vaccination plan against Corona, and providing hospitals with equipment, clinical materials and biosafety materials.

In Caracas, dozens of people associated with the sector gathered near the Ministry of Health to hand over the person in charge of this portfolio, Carlos Alvarado, a document in which they put forward three demands: improving salaries, providing equipment for hospitals, and a vaccination plan.

The President of the Bank of Venezuela, Jose Javier Morales, said that there is a development in pushing trade to people through digital points of sale (C2P) through which money is received instantly, and this allows transactions at all times over the Internet.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro considered the implementation of these new digital tools a "win-win" idea and emphasized: "We are winning with speed, by direct payment with the C2P system."
