The Ministry of International Cooperation launched the Joint Coordination Cooperation Platform for the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sector, under the title "Egypt Regional Energy Center: Reforms and Prospects in the Oil and Gas Sector", in the presence of Eng. Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Major General Mahmoud Shaarawi, Minister of Local Development, and Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, held a meeting to discuss the draft executive regulations for Law No. 208 of 2020 regarding the regulation of advertisements on public roads, in the presence of officials of the three ministries.
The ministers affirmed their agreement on the draft executive regulations for the law regulating advertisements on public roads, provided that the regulation clearly stipulates the development of incentive means for the use of new and renewable energy in lighting advertisements, stressing the need to emphasize the need to follow the rules that ensure road safety in the event of advertisements falling, and not The ads cause drivers to become distracted from driving, which puts their lives at risk.
Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar said: Law No. 208 of 2020 regarding the regulation of advertisements on public roads was issued, with the aim of establishing a unified entity under the name of the "National Agency for Advertising Regulation" that reports to the Prime Minister, and its task is to organize investment, plan, manage and evaluate advertising activities in Egypt, and set unified legislation.
