Data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics estimated that the total number of foreign workers in government agencies and the public business sector was about 1,388 foreigners in 2019, distributed among the various employers, namely the ministries, public authorities and the public business sector.

 

The numerical distribution in the agency’s data indicates that European countries topped the list of foreign workers in government agencies, with 824 workers at a rate of 59%, distributed among 56 workers in ministries, 304 workers in public bodies, 7 workers in the governorates, 457 workers in the public business sector, then American countries Their total number reached 104 workers, a rate of 7.5%, including 6 workers in ministries, 41 workers in public agencies, 57 workers in the public business sector, and oceanic countries with 27 workers, including one worker in ministries, 8 workers in public bodies, and 18 workers in the public business sector.


Total foreign workers from Arab countries reached 110 workers at a rate of 7.9%, distributed by 6 workers in ministries, 15 in public bodies, 50 workers in the governorates, and 39 workers in the public business sector, followed by "non-Arab" African countries with about 58 workers at a rate of 4.2%, distributed by 50 workers in public authorities, one worker in the governorates, 7 workers in the public business sector, then Asian "non-Arab" countries, with about 265 workers, distributed between 31 workers in ministries and 103 workers in public bodies, and only workers in the governorates and 129 workers in the public business sector.
